Yesterday, the boys and I took a nice long drive out to the Arlington Park Racecourse which has been tranformed into Clearbrook's Wonderland of Lights.
We turned up the heat and the Christmas Music in the car, rolled down the windows and off we went through the 1.6 mile drive-thru featuring millions of colorful lights and hundreds of animated holiday scenes such as: Twelve Days of Christmas, Night Before Christmas, Reindeer Flight School, Holiday Fairy Tale Lane, Enchanted Fountain and Victorian Holidays. The grand finale was a drive through the world's largest light tunnel of 150,000 lights measuring 600 feet by 300 feet, oooohhing and ahhhing all the way.
It was really beautiful and the boys loved it.
Afterwards, Jeremiah really wanted pie and D'Shan really wanted Hot Chocolate so we headed to a nearby Baker's Square but Jeremiah had drifted off and (poor mother that I am) ended up eating his slice of cherry pie for breakfast this morning.
If you live in or visit Chicago this holiday season, the Clearwater show is a Must See and is open every night all holidays included - through New Years Day.
